Skip to contentDiscover next-generation solar water heating designed for maximum performance and durability, while drastically reducing heating costs. Our thermodynamic hot water solution combines a small heat pump and a solar panel, to extract ambient heat from the environment (sun, rain, wind, and air) to heat water up to 55°C, 24/7, even at night or on cloudy days.
Unlike a traditional solar geyser, the system does not rely solely on direct sunlight. It absorbs heat from the surrounding environment, allowing it to perform during the day, at night and in varied weather conditions.
Our Thermodynamic Hot Water system has excellent Solar Performance and has been tested and certified according to the most rigorous European standards. It has achieved an extraordinary coefficient performance of 3,8 according to the EN16147, meaning the system can produce significantly more heat energy than the electrical energy it consumes.
Stainless steel cylinder on indoor unit and external condenser. High density injected polyurethane insulation with cathodic protection. One of the lowest electrical consumptions on the market.
With low running costs, quiet operation and minimal maintenance, our system offers a practical, long-term solar water heating solution for households looking to improve energy efficiency without compromising daily comfort.
With solar panels made of anodised aluminium with a special Solokote finishing, the solar panels are robust and long-lasting against corrosion, in particular when exposed to saline and/or aggressive environments.
The high efficiency of the hot water cylinder is achieved by using a high-density polyurethane foam that ensures a low heat loss rate, being able to keep the water heated for several days in a row even if the unit is turned off.
GSI has successfully installed over 218 Thermodynamic hot water systems across the domestic markets in Mauritius and South Africa. These solar water heating systems, ranging from 200L to 300L, are designed for efficiency and reliability. The 250L unit is our most popular model perfect for 3-4 man homes.
Latest generation of solar technology works with sun, wind, rain and even at night. The Solar Thermodynamic Hot Water System also offers a high level of efficiency, all year round.

We design and install solar pool heating systems that deliver comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. With proven installations across South Africa and Mauritius, our heated pool solutions reduce costs, extend pool use year-round, and provide long-lasting value.

It uses renewable energy from the surrounding air to heat water efficiently. Unlike traditional solar geysers, it can operate day and night, and in sunny, cloudy, rainy, or cold conditions. This makes it a reliable, energy-efficient hot water solution and a strong alternative to a conventional electric geyser.
A solar water heating system can significantly reduce the amount of electricity used to heat water, which is one of the biggest energy expenses in many homes and businesses. A 60–80% reduction in the electricity used for water heating, depending on your household size and hot water usage.
Yes, provided the system has access to stored hot water or is connected to a suitable backup power source. Because the insulated cylinder retains heat for extended periods, hot water often remains available even during power outages, making it a practical solution for homes and businesses.
A professionally installed thermodynamic hot water system is designed for long-term reliability. With routine maintenance, our quality systems can provide efficient hot water for at least 25 years. The stainless steel cylinder and durable components are engineered to withstand demanding environmental conditions while maintaining high performance.
For many applications, yes. Unlike traditional solar geysers that rely primarily on direct sunlight, thermodynamic hot water systems operate in all weather conditions and continue heating water during the day and night. They also require less roof space and offer consistent performance throughout the year, making them an excellent long-term hot water solution.
